Between 2010 and 2015, Morocco’s telecom market will grow at a CAGR of 3.1%, from $4.9bn to $5.7bn. Mobile voice and data services made up 67.6% of total revenue in 2009 and will reach 69.5% by 2015, thanks to tremendous growth in mobile broadband uptake. Fixed voice continues to play an important role in Morocco, accounting for 26.8% of total revenue in 2009. The share of fixed voice revenue is, however, expected to decline to 21% by 2015. Although fixed VoIP revenue is still marginal, it is growing at a fast pace; we expect it to score a CAGR of 39.4% from $8m in 2010 to $41m in 2015. This Country Intelligence Report analyzes Morocco’s communications, media and technology industries, including key trends, regulatory pressures and the competitive landscape, making it an excellent complement to our Forecast products.
